It's possible Kennedy Agyapong will take over King Faisal - Alhaji Grusah

Bank-roller of King Faisal Alhaji Abdul Karim Grunzah has disclosed that the club are in discussions about a take over by Assin Central legislator Hon. Kennedy Agyapong.

The Kumasi based club have sometime now been crying about their dire financial constraints are were in the hunt for an investor to help the day to day running of the club.

News emerged that former player of the Club and former Bayern Munich star Samuel Osei Kuffour was keen about investing in the club but according to Alhaji he held discussions once with his former player about a possible investment into the club and has since not heard from him again.

“Since Sammy Kuffour met us to discuss taking over King Faisal we’ve not seen him again, so we have to move on.” He told Atinka Fm Sports.

“We are currently talking to Honourable Kennedy Agyapong over many issues including helping us to secure a place to play our home matches”

The founder of the club has suggested that a change of venue from the Kumasi Sport stadium is possible should the legislator come on board.

King Faisal are part of the 18 teams that will be playing in the Ghana Premier League when it starts on 21st December after they and Great Olympics were unanimously accepted into the league by congress last month.
