Midfielder, Emmanuel Frimpong says seeing his name in the Ghana squad for the 2014 Fifa world cup qualifier against Sudan is the proudest moment of his career.
The Arsenal player who is on loan at Fulham received his maiden call-up after his nationality switch from England to Ghana late last year.
The 21-year-old who has formerly represented England at the U-16 and U-17 levels has been waiting for this opportunity since 2011 when he declared he wanted to play for Ghana and not England.
The world cup qualifier will be played in Kumasi on March 24 and that will be a perfect venue for Frimpong who was born there leaving for London at a very young age.
“This is the proudest moment of my football career,” he wrote on twitter.
