It's Koobi Money .... Afriyie Ankrah Tells Commission

Former Minister of Youth & Sports and now Minister of State at the Presidency Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah told the Commission of Inquiry into the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday that Ghana did not lose monies on the food stuffs that were seized in Brazil.
When asked by Justice Senyo Dzamefe that how come certain food stuffs got seized in Brazil and If he's aware it was a lost to the State he said, "My Lord this is Koobi (salted fish), and momoni money. I don't really know the English name for it but as far as I'm concern they were local spices which the caterers were going to use to prepare their dishes in Brazil."
However, Hon. Afriyie Ankrah was quick to add that the caterers bore the cost of those items though the commissioners were puzzled with his response.
"Don't you think the State should have been responsible for the cost because if you have done your checks very well you'll have realized that those items would be seized on arrival anyway," Mr. Moses Foh Amoaning quizzed.
www.sports24gh.com can confirm that the two weeks duration which was initially given to the commission to complete it work has been extended to three months (90 Days).
