Former Heart of Oak player Charles Taylor has attributed the woes of the club to the players team.
This was after the club has sacked their coach for none performance but the experience winger believes the coach is not to blame rather the players.
"Changing the coach is not the best option for success" he said.
Heart of Oak are hoping to secure the signature of Coach Tony Lokko as a replacement for departed Herbert Addo but the ex - Orlando Pirate midfielder believes; "the coming of coach Lokko is not going to bring any massive change to the team".
Adding that; "Coach Lokko went to Berekum Chelsea but because he was not having quality materials he did not succeed, so to me, it is not the fault of Herbert Addo rather the players".
Taylor, played for the Accra based Club before moving to Kotoko after an impressive season with the Club.
He hinted that during his time, they played for the love of the game not money.
"We were playing for the love of the game but it is a different story today. Most of the players are now playing for money and if they are not paid it became a problem to the club".
Heart of Oak occupies the 12th position a step to the relegation zone with 26 point but with 9 games to go the team will be hoping to ignite the "never say die spirit" into the players in order to redeem their image as one of the best in Ghana.
