Former Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports, and Culture, Joseph Yamin has noted that the current Minister of the sector, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah is the worst Ghana has ever had following the disappointing campaign of the Black Stars at this year Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

According to him, Hon. Isaac Asiamah used to criticize his administration when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was in power and always requested the Sports Ministry to lay the budget for any national team assignment before the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Youth, and Culture.

But now during his time, he has shielded everything and denied the public any knowledge of the budget used for the Black Stars campaign at this year’s continental showdown.

Joseph Yamin insists that this together with other decision the current Minister he has taken makes him the worse leader of the sector and has called on him to as a matter of urgency resign.

“During our time in office, Isaac Asiamah sat on the ranking committee for a very long time. He used to sabotage the NDC government for a cover-up. He even told us to make every budget open”.

“Thank God he became the Minister. And now he is the worst sports minister we have ever had in recent years. He has nothing to write home about. He must resign now”, the former Sports Minister Joseph Yamin said.

He added, “I am also disappointed in some of the MPs for waiting for the Black stars to be eliminated before inviting the sports minister. They should have invited him even before the tournament”.
