Isaac Amoako leaves Kotoko captaincy

Experienced goalkeeper, Isaac Amoako will not captain Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the new season.

The goalie tendered in his resignation earlier this month. Administrative Manager, Benjamin Nti and club spokesman, Listowell Yesu Bukarson confirmed that management has received his resignation letter.

When contacted, Isaac Amoako explained that his decision comes after deep thoughts over his role as the team’s captain and how that has not helped him to really focus on improving on his performance.

“I want to focus on my performance. That’s why I have resigned. I have communicated that to management” said Amoako who added that some of his duties as captain, especially those that are off-the-pitch work, would not help him to pay maximum attention to his form especially at the time that he has set his eyes on regaining the number one spot in post.
