Ghana’s Kwabena Owusu has missed out on playing in the Spanish Segunda B next season after his side Cartagena failed to beat Extremadura on Sunday.
Owusu’s side lost the first leg 1-0 and they were in high hopes of beating Extremadura in the reverse fixture but they failed to do so.
Cartagena were held to a pulsating goalless draw game by the away side, meaning Extremadura have qualified to Segunda B via 1-0 aggregate.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian joined Cartagena this season on loan from Leganes.
