Inkoom joins French side SC Bastia

Samuel Inkoom is joining Ligue 1 side Bastia on loan from Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk until the end of the season, the Ghana international defender said on Friday.

"I’m moving from Ukraine to France. Hello @s_c_bastia !" Inkoom wrote on his Twitter feed on Friday.

Inkoom’s move will be official once the Corsican club have received administrative documents from their Ukrainian counterpart, president Pierre-Marie Geronimi told a news conference. Ukraine’s transfer window lasts another month.

Fullback Inkoom was omitted from Ghana’s African Nations Cup squad because he had lost his place in the starting lineup at Dnipro.

Bastia, 13th in Ligue 1, had already reinforced their defence during the January transfer window by signing France international keeper Mickael Landreau and centre back Jacques Faty from Sivasspor.

Waris Joins Spartak Moscow

In another development, Majeed Waris, scorer of 23 goals in 29 games in the colors of BK Hacken in Sweden, has also signed a long term contract with Spartak Moscow. The transfer fee is approximately 2.2 million.
The Club’s official website posted a reaction from Warris: “I chose Spartak Moscow because it is a great club with a great future. I made my choice after watching the match against Glasgow Celtic. I really like this team, and I'm sure I'll be able to find a place in this group and progress.
"But I also dreamed of playing in the Champions League, and this dream will become a reality after signing for Spartak.
“If I have managed to adapt to the Swedish climate and score many goals with Hacken, there is no reason that this is not the case in Russia. But my goal is not only to score goals, it is mainly to win titles”.
