'I will feature for Olympics even in division 1'

Godwin Attram a former Black Stars player has stated that he won’t abandon Accra Gt. Olympics if they fail to beat relegation in the Ghana Premier League.

Accra Gt. Olympics will take on runner-way league champions Ashgold as the First Capital Plus Premier League enters its final stage on Sunday and to ensure their continued stay in the top-flight league, they ought to beat the Miners, whiles they hope other for results to go in their favour in other to survive in the league.

Godwin Attram, who is one of the veterans to take a bold step to return home and play for their boyhood club is optimistic that he will be with Gt. Olympics even in the Wilderness of Ghana Football, which is division one.

“I will still play for Accra Gt. Olympics should the team be condemned to relegation. I have been with the team whiles in the premier league, so I won’t abandon them should we be demoted to division 1,” he told Hot FM.

The two times champions of Ghana league were regular customers in the top-flight league, but got relegated for the first time in the club’s history in 2004 and have since then been enjoying most of their time in division one, despite having secured promotion twice they got relegated on both occasion either the very first season or after a season in the Premier League.

Olympics returned to the Premier League just season, but could be on their way back to division one to make it a 4 relegation, 2004, 2007/08 and 2009/10.
