I will beat Kotoko -faisal Coach

Coach Rashid Iddi; the head coach of the sensational King Faisal Football Club is bent on beating Asante Kotoko in their opening match come Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. According to coach Rashid, Kotoko is nothing without Coach Bashir Hayford, their former coach. He also said the change in the technical head of Asante Kotoko is an advantage to him since their new coach, Maurice Cooreman will do better in Belgium on another terrain not the terrain in Kumasi.

In an interview with Coach Rashid Iddi, he said” Kotoko cannot beat me when I have prepared for just a week. Playing with them this time is just a walk over since I have had enough time to prepare my team for the next season.”

I CAN HANDLE THE STRIKERS

Tony Baffoe, a defender of Ashanti Gold Football Club has cautioned all strikers playing in the up coming season of the One –Touch premier league. Even though Ash Gold is starting with RTU, his warning is to all the 15 clubs, especially the popular ones. He said, his concentration is going to be on the unknown strikers, not the popular ones, and for the popular strikers he will handle them when it is necessary because he is not scared of them. Tony mentioned Nana Arhin Duah formerly of Kotoko and Ablordey Morgan formerly of Accra Hearts of Oak as his threat but Nana Arhin Duah is with him at Ash Gold camp and Ablordey Morgan plays outside the country so there is no one he fears. He said, looking at the pre-season preparation in terms of change in management and technical team and the re-enforcement of the playing body, Ash Gold will be a force to reckon with this season. WE ARE READY FOR THE LEAGUE Looking at the pre-season preparation, Frank Yeboah, captain of Berekum Arsenals believes he will take his team to greater heights. He said, other teams should not undermine them because of the recent work on their pitch. He again said that, they will not face any problems because they have a good record of their away performances, so any team that comes to underestimate them on their home grounds will have themselves to blame. Frank also believes that he can continue his good midfield work this season. He advised all teams to be careful when they meet Berekum Arsenals since he is going to dominate the midfield.

I WILL SCORE MORE GOALS

Liberty Professionals’ striker Yaw Antwi who scored four goals in the just ended Glo Top- four competition, has thrown a challenge to all defenders who cannot run throughout the 90mins because he is going to drill them by running throughout his matches and once they get tired he will score. Like any other club, liberty professionals are determined to win the league with Yaw Antwi aiming at attaining the goal king title in the 2008/2009 One-touch Premiere league season with 28 goals.
