I want to fight for my place in Juve – Boakye

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has underlined his determination to stay in Juventus and fight for his place in striking department next this season.

The striker has vowed to prove his worth to manager Antonio Conte to win regular selection.

“I want to stay and fight for my place. Another loan proposition would not be rejected by me if it comes with guarantees of playing time but my focus is on staying in Turin to fight for a place in the Juventus line-up,” he told Africanfootball.com

“Elche did not go the way I would have loved but, I gained extra experience and scored key goals in key matches, enough signal of my maturity for striking at the top level.

“I have the hunger and the desire to succeed at the highest level and Juventus know that. I would ask my agent to signal my intention to stay at club the throughout next season to the champions [Juventus].”

Boakye scored seven goals – mostly key goals in key matches – on loan at Elche but has since lost his place in the Black Stars.

There are rumours the striker will be loaned to Borussia Dortmund, Villarreal or Lyon for the upcoming season.

It is clear, however, the player’s intention is to stay in Turin to compete with the likes of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente for regular selection.
