Ghanaian midfielder, Kwadwo Poku says his move to Miami FC will earn him more playing time to excel.

The Ghana international also revealed that he is more determined to play more games for the American second-tier side.

"It was not easy for my club [New York City] to announce my departure," he told Angel FM

"I moved to Miami FC for more playing time to develop and am ready to help them to do well this season."

The 24-year-old also said he is ready to learn more from his new coach, Alessandro Nesta, the former Italy and AC Milan defender.

Poku completed his two-and-half-year deal from New York City a few weeks ago after scoring four goals and providing seven assists in his 27 game outings for the MLS side last season.

He is expected to mark his debut game for his new team as they take on Fort Lauderdale Strikers today in the North America Soccer League.
