Coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani says there is no pressure on him to deliver a good result in Sunday’s CAF Champions League return leg tie against JSM Bejaia. He said remarks that he and his team are under pressure to eliminate the Algerian side are unfair.
He has therefore appealed to the public to desist from such comments. “Why do you always talk about pressure? Life itself is about pressure. We are not under any pressure. We are going to play the Algerians.
I have always been myself. There is no pressure on me or the team” said Didi. The Kotoko trainer said this in an interview after the Porcupines’ 4-1 win over Agbozome Weavers in the FA Cup match. While expressing satisfaction with the team’s performance in Ho where the FA Cup game was played, he noted that Kotoko have prepared well for Sunday.
“It was a very good game. Everything went well and we are happy about that. We are going to face JSM Bejaia just like we did in Algeria and we are sure of eliminating them”.
Did Dramani touched on the significance of the FA Cup match at the time they were preparing the Champions League. He said it was not just about progressing in the domestic competition but also assessing his team’s readiness and giving chances to players from the reserve side.
“We have a difficult calendar but we had to pick a squad, assess them in order to see their readiness. It was also to give opportunity to the younger ones,” said the coach.
The Kotoko-JSM Bejaia clash is scheduled to kickoff at 2pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
