Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold striker Alex Asamoah ‘Makw?kw?’ says he would welcome an invitation into the Black Stars following his recent form.

The former Ghana Premier League goal king won the Burkinabe Premier League with Rail Club de Kadiogo, bagging 8 goals and 3 assists.

In an interview with Atinka FM, Asamoah said he is focusing on improving his performances in the upcoming CAf Champions League in order to win a Black Stars call up.

“If you look at the league in Burkina that we played, I didn’t start early, I missed over 6 games due to a delay of my ITC but I still battled for the goal king and missed out by just two goals”, He said

“I’m still young and only became popular at a very early age so I’m doing my best to win the hearts of the technical handlers of the national team so that they can invite me”,

“I thank God that I have gotten a platform to keep on doing what I know, and I hope when I get an invitation, I would be able to offer my best to Ghana”, The former Asante Kotoko and Berekum Arsenal striker were on target as his club RC Kadiogo clinched the to Burkinabe league last Sunday.

Rail Club du Kadiogo beat Kozaf fc 3-1 away on the final day of the league to defend the title they won last season. They will represent the West African nation in next year’s CAF Champions League.
