I’m not quitting Hearts – Duncan

Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan has silenced reports claiming he will leave the club at the end of the season.

Duncan dominated the news early last week after disclosing in a radio interview that he was unhappy at the club and suggesting he will do the honourable if things do not improve.

But in a fresh interview with the club’s official newspaper, the former Ghana U23 coach has dispelled all rumours and says he is staying put.

“Indeed the media will always try and read meanings and give conclusions to anything that we put out there,” Ducan told Hearts News.

“I have also read and heard about this in the news all week. The calls have been coming from many Phobians trying to enquire the authenticity of the news. “But I want to state it here and now that I’m not quitting Hearts of Oak as I hope to see through my contract,” he added.

Duncan is credited for Hearts of Oak’s tremendous turnaround this season after lifting the club from relegation to fifth place with one match left to the end of the season.
