Former skipper for Ghana U-17, Eric Ayiah has eulogized his former coach at the national youth level, Paa Kwesi Fabin as he strongly believes he has played an instrumental role in his career.

Ayiah, a member of the U-17 team that participated in the world championship now plies his trade for French Ligue 1 side, AS Monaco.

Speaking to Wontumi FM in Kumasi, he said, “It hasn’t been easy for me, I grew up without my biological parents, they are no more but God has pushed me through the ranks by captaining the U17 without paying anything to a coach”

“I’m really grateful to Paa Kwesi Fabin who brought me to the U17 team and natured me. In fact, all the credit must go to him and his assistant Coach Sabato”

“I never thought I will reach where I am now. There is no black player in Monaco but fortunate for me I am playing for them” he added.

Ayiah joined AS Monaco on a five year deal from Ghana lower-tier side, Charity Stars though he is yet to break into the first team
