I have not retired from football - Prince Tagoe

Ghana striker Prince Tagoe insists he is not done with football and is currently working on a return to active football.

The 30-year-old has been inactive at club level for well over a year with recent attempted moves to join clubs in Jordan and Sweden falling through.

Tagoe who played for Ghana at the 2010 World Cup has seen his career go down the drain ever since leaving German club Hoffenheim under controversial circumstances.

In 2009, the former Accra Hearts of Oak forward had his contract at Hoffenheim terminated because of a reported heart problem.

Subsequent moves to Partizan Belgrade, Bursaspor and Al-Ettifaq did little to revive the career of the two-time goal king of the Ghana Premier League.

Tagoe however insists he is not giving up yet on his career and is now focusing on securing a move in another attempt to jump-start his career.

“It has been difficult, I know that but I am not giving up,” he told FootballMadeInGhana.

“But I am working on getting another club. I have tried getting clubs on a low key which has not materialized but I believe the right time will come.

“Am sure very soon you will hear I have moved to a new club.”

Tagoe was once regarded as the next most reliable source of goals for the Ghana national team especially during a time lead striker Asamoah Gyan was fatigued with several injury issues.
