Former Ghana international Hamza Mohammed says he is not eager to return to active football.

The 35-year-old took a break from active football after a short stint with King Faisal in 2009.

Hamza captained the Black Satellites team at the 1999 World Cup Championships in Nigeria where Ghana lost to Spain in the finals.

The former Kotoko midfielder was also part of the Black Stars squad at the 2002 and 2006 Africa Cup of Nations in Mali and Egypt respectively.

The ex-National star has ruled out the possibility of returning to active football.

“No, I think we have served our time and we have to pave way for the young ones,” he spoke to Ghanasportsonline.com after a match in honor of the 1965 Cup of Nations winning team.

“I am not thinking of returning to active football, I could consider something else in football but not to play, so that is way out of the plan for now.”

The former Real Tamale United man enjoyed spells at New Zealand Knights FC and Armenian outfit Ceahl?ul Piatra Neam?.
