Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Saani Daara has stated that he will not render apology to the Sports Minister, Honourable Nii Lantey Vanderpuye.

Speaking with Tony Adam Adjei on Kasapa Sports Stadium on Kasapa 102.5FM on Saturday, Saani disclosed that he has not shown insolence towards the sport minister as many claim.

“If someone can tell me what I did that shows I am being disrespectful to the minister then I will apologise. No one has communicated to me to apologize to the Minister.

“Even if I have done anything wrong, I’m human and as human we are bound to make mistakes in life so I would be pleased if someone will tell me that … oh Saani this is what you have done wrong then I will accept to apologize. But to the best of my knowledge I have not done anything untoward except to defend the good name of my Federation which has been under constant attack from the minister”.

According to the former BBC Journalist, it is costly to destroy the reputation of an organization or an individual without any prove.

“If you damage my reputation without any just cause, meanwhile my brand name is what I used to secure for sponsorship deal and now turns that it’s soiled with lies. It’s not the best so for me I will use the right means by seeking a redress at the law court to regain my dented image,” Saani told Adam Adjei.

Meanwhile the spokesperson for the Ghana Football Association, has stated that the minister of sports deserves to be shown the exit following his denigrating comments over the ongoing league season.

Honourable Nii Lantey Vanderpuye recently made the assertions that the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League is not attractive, hence its failure to attract sponsorship.
