Accra Hearts of Oak coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi said he had no doubt his side would win their opening day fixture in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) against New Edubiase United.

The Phobians won the game 1-0 against a side that came in with a game plan of trying to frustrate the home side into submission hoping to catch them by surprise.

Samuel Yeboah’s effort in the 79th minute handed all three points to Hearts of Oak to get their campaign off to a flying start as they look to better their performance of last season as they are seen as the fore-bearers of Ghana Football.

Coach Yatsuhashi said at the post match press conference that he had no doubt the goal will come as the game wore on, and expressed satisfaction about the win.

“This was not a performance we were expecting as we could have done better in many areas, but, we take the applause and look on to our next game.'” He said.

They next play Medeama SC at Tarkwa on Sunday in what should be a tough duel, but Coach Keni said they “will be ready” for that fixture at the weekend.
