I enjoyed every minute – Atsu

Ghana international midfielder Christian Atsu took solace in his own performance despite Everton’s 4-6 aggregate loss to Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League on Thursday, March 19.

Roberto Martinez side were soundly thrashed 5-2 in the second leg of the 16th stage tie by the Ukrainian side, but the Black Stars winger maintained he was delighted in his overall output.

“The game was really tough and we have to move on, we lost to a good side and we wish them all the best, for me personally I enjoyed every minute of the game and I hope to continue and help this team in the remaining games, Atsu told Football411.com.

“Everton is a good team with good players, everybody wants to play but it all depends on the manager so I will do my best if I get the opportunity to play in the games ahead.”

Meanwhile, the Chelsea loanee, who has struggled to command regular spot in Roberto Martinez’s team, says his dark days are over and he is set to compete for playing time.

He added: “I have had injuries and some problems since I joined the team, that is normal with every footballer when you join a new team, but now my focus is to keep pushing and hopefully I can get more games and help this team.”
