"I don't regret joining Sochauz" - Jordan Ayew

Black Stars striker Jordan Ayew insists that he has no regrets joining Sochaux on loan and admits that he was getting worried and unhappy over his consistent bench-warming role at Marseille.

Jordan, who is now enjoying regular playing time at Stade Auguste-Bonal and hoping to help Herve Renard’s side improve their scoring record and avoid relegation to Ligue 2, said joining Les Lionceaux on a six-month loan was a good choice.

“I think I am doing well now, since my arrival. The club was patient for me to be more decisive,” Jordan Ayew told L'Equipe.

“But I am always given a lot because Sochaux offered me the opportunity to get playing time, I remember that when I moved in January, there were people who said that I was crazy to go to Sochaux as they were a poorly-ranked team.”

Ayew added: “I knew that Sochaux was a good choice. And I do not regret it. We will perhaps accomplish the feat to be in Ligue 1.”

Jordan Ayew revealed at Marseille, he was getting disinterested in playing football.

"It was difficult for me to come here because Marseille did not want to, but I did my best to come. I had other opportunities, but I preferred Sochaux. I think it’s a good challenge for me and I wanted to stay in France," he told SuperSport.

"The most important thing is that I am happy, that's what I was missing. I can go home and have a smile... At Marseille, I didn’t have. This is the most important thing for me, to be happy."

Jordan Ayew will be looking forward to being a part of Kwesi Appiah's team at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
