Head Coach of the Black Satellites, Silas Tetteh, has reiterated that he did not struggle putting his team together for the training tour of Europe. Coach Tetteh on Monday traveled with a provisional 25 man squad to Italy to prepare for the FIFA under 20 World Cup which kicks off in Turkey in a fortnight.
The traveling party excluded Arsenal’s Zak Ansah, Tema Youth midfielder Derrick Mensah, Medeama SC’s Jacob Apau and Rayo Vallecanos Anthony Manison.
"I have been with the boys for a very long time, so definitely I have seen a lot of things; we are trained to be psychologist, so once this is a job that I have been doing for many years with a lot of experience, it wasn't difficult at all settling on the twenty five".
The 25 players will later be joined by Inter Milan’s Alfred Duncan and Black Stars duo Richmond Boakye- Yiadom and Baba Abdul Rahman, who are on national team duty, preparing for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho.
The former Black Stars Assistant Coach who has another difficult task to trim down the size of the squad to a twenty one after the two week tour debunked rumours that the team has already been made.
"Every player is a surprise, no one has one hundred percent chance, anything can happen during the period of stay in Italy and Switzerland, but I think that we shall do a better job and come out with a good squad in the end"
Ghana will have to deal with the imminent threat from giants like Italy, France and the United States of America, in Group A.
