Disgruntled Hearts of Oak striker, Bernard Arthur has started throwing salvo’s at the Phobians for failing to permit him to join city rivals Accra Great Olympics.

The former Liberty Professionals man signed for the Phobians in 2019 but hasn't enjoyed his stay with regards to playing time after the exit of Coach Kim Grant who signed him.

Speaking in an interview Kumasi 104.1 FM, Bernard revealed that he signed for Hearts of Oak because he likes new challenges and not because they are a big club.

“I’m a player who likes challenges, that’s why I came to Hearts of Oak but not because the club is a big team,” the 23-year-old said. Since Kim Grant left, things have not gone well for me. I sometimes get frustrated and hurt about that.”

He also alleged that he is sitting on the bench because of some politics in the team and not because of his performance.

“I think it’s disrespect, I’m a whole brand of myself who people look up to in the coastal areas and Dansoman. People keep asking why I’m on the bench but let me emphasize that being on the Hearts bench has nothing to do with my performance,” he said.
