Outspoken Asante Kotoko head coach David Duncan says he will be ready to accept any appointment to coach any of the national teams if the opportunity comes.

The former Hearts of Oak manager had stints with the national U 17 side, steering them to the 2005 World Cup in Peru.

Reports in the local media had suggested that the former Black Starlets head coach had lost out with the Ghana FA after he criticized handlers of the Local Black Stars for selecting only Kotoko players for the national team neglecting Hearts of Oak players.

The gaffer is on record to have criticized the Ghana FA for the quality of pitches and the type of Metre balls that are used in our various competions.

But the confident looking Asante Kotoko manager says he is open to accepting any appointment to handle any of the national teams.

In an exclusive chat with GHANAsoccernet.com, Duncan said “I have never turned down a call to serve my country whole heartedly and honestly with the abilities God has endowed me with, anytime I have been called upon to so do. “

Duncan’s reign as the head coach of Asante Kotoko appears to have started on a promising note after a magnificent pre-season preparation that has seen the club with three trophies so far.
