I am being rewarded for my work - Jordan Ayew

Marseille forward Jordan Ayew is happy with his current form and says Marseille must recover from the disappointment of not winning against Borussia Monchengladbach after dominating the game. Jordan’s second half strike almost proved to be the winner till it was cancelled by a 90th minute Juan Arango strike.

“We dominated the game from beginning to end. We all share with regrets but we have a big game on Sunday against Nice. We must recover. Personally, I am being rewarded for my work. I try to do my possible best “the young striker said after the 2-2 draw with the German side.

The goal was Jordan Ayew’s 3rd goal in 8 games in the Europa league. Ayew has also notched up 3 goals in 10 games in Ligue 1 this season (he has started only 2 of those 10 games) taking his season tally to six. A massive improvement for a player who scored 7 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions for Marseille last season (he started 22 of them from the bench).

It is not clear if he will make the Ghana squad that will take part in next year’s African Cup of Nations as he has been dropped in the last two teams named for International duty by Kwasi Appiah but the temperamental 21 year keeps on improving. Strikers get prolific with age and the youngest of the Ayew brothers is showing exactly that.
