Braimah Kamoko also known as Bukom Banku was the center of attention when he opened his work-out session to the public on Tuesday at the Bukom Boxing Arena ahead of his expected clash with Bastie Samir.

Over hundred fans assembled at the gym situated inside the Arena to see Bukom Banku work through a tedious training routine after observing Bastie Samir go through his training earlier on during the day.

The self-acclaimed African Mayweather appeared very focused while going through the workout with his trainer, Godfred Binney. Banku is taking the bout and has visibly reduced in weight compared to when he fought Ayitey Powers two years ago.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanaweb.com immediately after his training, Bukom Banku affirmed once again to stop Bastie in his tracks before round six to prove his worth as the African Mayweather and Boxing Ronaldo.

“I’m still ready and training now, Bastie is talking too much. I want to prove to Ghanaians that I am the African Mayweather and by the Grace of God I will stop him in round six.”
Bastie has travelled so I know he has enough experience, but I am the only boxing graduate, the boxing Ronaldo and I have Ghana’s best coach in my camp. I train in the morning, afternoon and evening.”

The popular boxer also asserted that even though Ghanaians are very pessimistic about his fight, he is absolutely sure of victory.

“Ghanaians have said Bastie will defeat me, but I advise them to keep mute because it’s a coconut seller’s fight because I am not an empty barrel making noise.”

The fight would be attended by dignitaries from the diplomatic corps and musicians have been billed to perform at the fight dubbed ‘Make or Break'.
