Helsingborg coach Roar Hansen has hailed the impact of Ghanaian forward David Accam, likening his importance to that of Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 23-year-old scored a sensational injury time goal on Thursday to see The Reds progress to the finals of the Swedish Cup at the expense of Malmo.
Accam’s impressive strike after galloping from his half of the pitch has received rave reviews all over the world.
The Ghanaian is amongst the leading goal scorers in the Swedish top flight and has effectively enhanced his chances of making the Black Stars squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Helsingborg coach Roar Hansen has now taken the flurry of praises on the Right to Dream Academy graduate a notch further by likening his impact to that of Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Real Madrid’s coach is well pleased to have Cristiano Ronaldo, and we have David Accam,” he said.
Accam joined Helsingborg in 2012 having impressed in the Swedish second tier with Ostersunds.
