Hearts of Oak striker Selasi Adjei says the team cannot underrate Edubiase United, adding that the players must approach the game as a must-win tie.

The Phobians will welcome Edubiase United to the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in the first league game of the season.

Edubiase United are unbeaten in their last three league games against Hearts.

They snatched a late draw in Accra in the 2013/14 season that denied Hearts a second-place finish and again caused an upset last year by defeating Hearts 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

And speaking ahead of the game, Selasi has warned his colleagues not to underrate their opponents, who completed the league double over Hearts

last season.

"We will make a big mistake if we underrate any opponent in the Ghana Premier League," Selasi told accraheartsofoak.com.

"Edubiase have lost a number of key players for the new season but I still think we cannot completely underrate them.

"They beat us home and away last season, and they also caused us a big heartache in the final game last two years.

"We have to be fully prepared for the game and treat the Edubiase match as a must-win game. We have not heard much from their camp in pre-season, and I think that even makes them dangerous.

"Our coaches will come out with strategies to defeat them but we must also play our part by taking them seriously and professionally.

"The Edubiase match is our first game and we have to start it well by getting all the three points."

This will be the second time Hearts are playing against Edubiase on the opening day of the season.

Hearts beat them 2-0 in Bekwai on the opening day of the 2013/14 season with Emmanuel Hayford grabbing a brace on his debut.
