Accra Hearts Oak have turned down an attempt to sign veteran midfielder Bernard Don Bortey, Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm.

Bortey, 33, had been training with his former Club for some time now in a bid to return to the Rainbow outfit.

The winger featured in the team’s GHALCA G6 competition where he made an appearance in the final game against Aduana Stars.

Management after a meeting with the former Ghana U17 star asked the player to look elsewhere despite impressing in the team’s preseason exercise.

The former Ghana Premier League best player will now be seeking to secure himself a deal with a Premier League Club before the season begins.

The former Aduana Stars attacker was hoping to re-launch his career with a return to the Club that shot him to fame.
