Coach of Liberty Professionals, George Lamptey has described Hearts of Oak’s performance in their 1-1 draw last Wednesday at the Accra Stadium as “Their best performance this season”.
Coach Lamptey’s side managed to get a point from their game with Hearts after Bernard Arthur cancelled a Cosmos Dauda goal in the first half.
In an interview with the Graphic Sports, coach Lamptey praised the Hearts team this time around after describing their first leg performance as poor.
“Hearts really played well this time around and I must commend them for their efforts,” coach Lamptey said.
“They really attacked us from the start to the finish and I was happy with our results,” he added.
Talking about the decision to move their home match from the Carl Reindolf Park at Dansoman to the Accra Stadium, coach Lamptey noted that the club looked out for the financial benefits especially when there is no sponsorship for the league.
He, however, explained that spectators prefer sitting to watch a football match than standing thus the club’s decision to enable fans to throng the stadium.
Coach Lamptey urged his team to work hard if they are to make a top four finish with the point difference on the league’s log.
