Hearts of Oak end their friendly against Asec abruptly

A horrible injury sustained by goalkeeper Sammy Adjei forced Hearts to abandon their club friendly against Ivorian giants Asec Mimosas in Accra.

An Asec striker went in strongly on the former international gloves man and that led to a confrontation between the two sides.

Hearts questioned the motive of the Ivorian side and decided to end the match abruptly despite leading 1-0.

New signing James Abban scored a debut goal late into the first half with a half-volley.

Returnee Laryea Kingston and newcomer Sadat Karim featured for the Phobians.

Duo Kofi Abanga and Godwin Quarshiga after a long injury lay-off made impressive outings for the side.
