Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have announced the signing of formal Karela United defensive midfielder Emmanuel Mintah.

The player joins the Phobians on a free transfer following his decision not to renew his contract with his former employers from Anyinase upon the expiry of his contract.

Emmanuel Mintah, 23, was a key part of the Karela United team that impressed in the GFA Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition, going all the way and narrowly missing out on clinching the tier 1 trophy.

He has been in talks with the Phobians for the past couple of weeks and has now penned a deal with the side that makes him the third official signing of Hearts of Oak following the arrivals of Dominic Eshun and Benjamin Arthur.

In a post on the club’s official Twitter page on Saturday, they confirmed, “Welcome, Emmanuel Mintah to Hearts of Oak. Everyone at the club wishes you the very best during your stay”.

The midfielder has been signed to strengthen Kim Grant’s young quad who are tipped for success in the not too distant future.
