Hearts newspaper and kit store make Ghc100 profit

Hearts of Oak’s official kit store and the newspaper made a combined paltry profit of GH?100 between the year 2013-2014.

This shocking revelation was captured in the annual financial report at the club’s meeting of shareholders on Wednesday.

The amount is a massive decline of the GH?8,250 profit it recorded the previous year.

Sales of the club’s paraphernalia from its official store located at the club’s secretariat are at an all-time low due to the poor performance of the team.

Interest in the official newspaper has also died down due to the same reason.

Hearts of Oak have struggled to remain competitive against their peers in the Ghanaian top flight since the new regime was ushered in in 2010.

This has led to calls by some fans to have the current board led by Togbe Afede XIV ousted.
