Hearts of Oak interim coach, Sergio Traguil has fought back at fans who claim to have lost faith in him since he took over the club at the start of the second half of the 2015/16 season.

Hearts, after parting ways with Japanese-American coach, Kenichi Yatsuashi, have struggled to impress in the league as they dropped yet, three valuable points at home in their quest to annex the trophy for the first time in eight years.

The Portuguese, who replaced fan favourite, Kenichi, has been at the receiving end of aggrieved fans’ – who have labelled him as a failure – outbursts.

But the Portuguese trainer has fought back, claiming he cannot be blamed should the team fail to annex this season’s title.

“If they have lost faith in the club, they should not do. They have to support the club no matter the situation nor the position of the club on the league table.

“I joined the team halfway through the season and I see no reason why they should lose faith in me. It is the team they should rather have faith in.”

Hearts lie in 3rd place with 42 points and is now 3 points adrift of leaders Wa All Stars.
