Hearts express gratitude for massive support

Accra, March 23, GNA - The Interim Management Committee of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has expressed its deepest appreciation and sincere gratitude to all who helped in diverse ways to ensure the club's progression to the 1/16th stage of the CAF Champions League.

In a statement signed by Mr Ashford Tettey-Oku Administrative Manager of the club copied to the GNA Sports said the club has noted with great joy the massive support that the huge crowd gave that ensured victory for the club.

The IMC said the victory was also made possible through the fruitful cooperation and support from the sporting media.

The statement called on all supporters and well wishers of the club to continue to provide the club with such similar support as the club gears up for another "revenge" match against AS Aviacao on April 11.

Hearts last Sunday edged out Stade de Malien of Mali in the CAF Champions League with a 2-0 win at the Accra Sports Stadium. The first leg in Bamako, Mali ended goalless.

The Malians accounted for the exit of Hearts in the 2002 edition of the competition.

Hearts are now scheduled to play AS Aviacao who eliminated them from the competition last year.
