Hearts coach Addo axe four senior players

Herbert Addo has wielded the axe at Hearts of Oak with four senior players set to leave the club latest next week.

Midfield duo Samson Cudjoe and Stephen Tetteh, defender Emmanuel Ansongas well as striker Ezekiel Tetteh have been told to look elsewhere after failing to make the grade at the club.

New coach Herbert Addo is planning a massive clear-out and will listen to offers for a clutch of high-profile players as he tries to trim his squad ahead of the start of the new season.

The former Inter Allies coach has the backing of the club’s board to undertake the exercise with many more senior players expected to be axed.

Addo has been told to splash the cash and bring in quality replacements in their bid to wrestle the Premier League crown from rivals Asante Kotoko.

He has warned his under-achieving stars that they are playing for their Hearts futures.
