Hearts can’t pay Malik Akowuah fee – Medeama

Patrick Akoto, Communications Director of Medeama SC has told Cape Coast based, ATL FM that no Ghanaian club is in a good financial position to pay for the services of their key players.

The Mauve-and-Yellow energetic midfielder, Malik Akowuah has been rumoured to have attracted keen interest from 2015/16 Ghana Premier League leader’s, Hearts of Oak following a string of good performance both in the domestic league and the CAF Confederation Cup.

However, the outspoken football administrator cum journalist in a radio interview with Cape Coast based, ATL FM mentioned no Ghanaian club can match the price tag of Akowuah.

’’Medeama will not deny any club who wants to buy Malik Akowuah because we need money to balance our expenditure book but the issue is that the amount that we are looking for is beyond the capability of all Ghanaian clubs due to the player’s quality’’.

Medeama SC will know their group opponents when the CAF Confederation Cup draw is held next week.
