Hearts PRO targets league title

The Public Relations Manager of Accra Hearts of Oak, Muheed Saeed, says the club look forward to ending a four year trophy drought by winning the Premier League title next season.

The 20 times league champions finished last season in 3rd place and according to Saeed, the club have what it takes to win the league title in the upcoming 2012/13 season. “We have had a very impressive pre-season and I am very sure that at the end of the season Hearts of Oak will win the Glo league,” Mr. Saeed told Radio URA in Bolgatanga.

He continued: “The past three seasons have not been good for a club with standards as Hearts of Oak and we will be out to make sure that this season is totally different. It’s our target to win the league this season and we believe we can achieve that target.”

Saeed also told URA Radio Sports that with new additions like Seth Owusu, Baan Boateng, Richard Addai, Emmanuel Ansong , Robin Gnagne who is an Ivory Coast import together with Gilbert Fiamenyo among others and coach C.K. Akunnor now going to have a full season with the team, can only improve Hearts’ chances of challenging for the title.

“Our team this season is stronger than it was in the last few year and we also have a good coach in Akunnor. Trust me, we will be battle ready for the start of the league come October 7th and will be aiming to win it,” the Hearts PRO pledged.

Accra Hearts Of Oak will start their league campaign at the Tema Sports Stadium against Tema Youth on October 7.
