Speaking to Nii Ayibonte II, Chairman of the Hearts interim management, he stressed that the club hopes to showcase the CAF Champions League during its centenary anniversary that's why they've beefed up the team to make it stronger. “Don't forget that we could lose Osei Bonsu to Hoffenheim if he is successful with his trials which meant we had to look for options at the back. There are other offers available for some of our players so we felt it will be proper to find replacements.” He continued: “In the next few years Hearts will be celebrating its centenary anniversary and so our aim is to win the CAF Champions League with these players as a befitting anniversary,” he added.
