Hearts CEO targets league title next season

Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Fred Crentsil says the club's aim for next season is to win the Premier League.

The Phobians have not won the Ghana Premier League since 2009.

The club's lack of funds has seen them lose out on marquee signings to rivals Asante Kotoko, Medeama SC and Berekum Chelsea.

Crentsil-who has been Hearts CEO for two years-admits they must placate their fans by winning the league this term.

"For the past three seasons we have not won any diadem at all. I know our supporters are itching for us to win next season,'' Crentsil said.

"We are putting our house in order so we can move forward next season."

Hearts have invisible on the transfer market as they are yet to confirm recruits for the forthcoming season.

"We have received a report from our head coach and he has requested for certain players because he has realized there are certain lapses in the team,'' Crentsil added.

"So we are following that so that we can recruit some few players into the team.

"We believe we must look at the other three departments apart from goalkeeping. The defence, midfield and the striking role as well must be looked at again."

Hearts finished fourth last season behind Kotoko, Ashanti Gold and Medeama.
