Hears to play Benin in return leg

Accra, May 10, GNA - Coach Jones Attuquayefio, Technical Director of the Benin National Team has stated that his team will host Accra Hearts of Oak in a return leg of their international friendly match within the next two weeks in Cotonou, Benin.

Coach Attuquayefio in a post match interview with the GNA Sports in Accra, said the first match though ended in their favour it did not reflect the true picture of the two teams due to the poor nature of the pitch at the El-Wak Stadium.

The coach who led his side, the Squirrels to defeat Hearts 4-2 in an international friendly match at the El-Wak Stadium last Sunday said the scheduled match will be part of the Phobian's preparations towards their second leg match against Etoile Sportive du' Sahel scheduled for Tunisia on May 31.

He expressed the hope that the match will serve as a worthy exercise for the two sides and to determine their true strength. Coach Attuquayefio was optimistic of the chances of Hearts in the first leg on Sunday saying the Ghanaians have an edge over the Tunisians because they displayed all the good quality in football but added that the attackers need to take advantage of the numerous goal chances they create.
