Hazaard did not "guard" Baba - Hargreaves

Chelsea's Baba Rahman Chelsea's Baba Rahman

Former Bayer Munich and Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has defended Baba Rahman’s performance in Chesea’s 1-0 lost to Stoke City on Saturday evening.

The Blues suffered their Seventh defeat in the Premier League after Markovic Arnautovic’s only strike at the Britannia Stadium condemned the reigning EPL champions to another misery.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was not in the stadium as he serves a one match ban after questioning referee’s decision in the game against Southampton. The Potters winger Xerdan Shaqiri became a torn in Rahman’s flesh as he twist and turn the 21-year-old in the game but Owen Hargreaves believes Hazard did not help the Ghanaian international in defense.

“The left side of Chelsea’s defense is the weakest part of their set up. Hazard must help Baba Rahman to defend but he didn’t do that-leaving Rahman to defend all alone,” Hargreaves who was a pundit said in his analysis after the game.

Baba Rahman who had a great game against Dynamo Kiev last Wednesday played 70 minutes of the crunch encounter.
