The minority leader of Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu, was on Sunday spotted watching the Premier League game between Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the UK.

The 48-year-old is known to be a strong fan of the London side and took the opportunity to watch his darling club play while in the UK.

Photos of Idrisu dressed in suit and with an arsenal-designed scarf on his neck have gone viral on social media.

The photo was taken right in front of the ticket area of the iconic Emirates stadium – the home ground of the Gunners.

Arsenal eventually went on to draw 1-1 with Wolves, extending their unbeaten run to 14 games in all competitions.

The minority leader’s visit of Arsenal apparently did not go down well with some New Patriotic Party (NPP) faithful, with one of the them accusing the MP of supporting a European club over local clubs.

The tweet from one Nana Ansah Obofour read: “Minority Leader spotted at Emirates yesterday to watch Arsenal vrs Wolves He'll come back and say s3, Ghana ay3 hot Smh NDC fuor he will never even contribute to his village football team da, meanwhile Arsenal is a local team like his hometown teams.”

Idrisu is currently the MP for Tamale South and has been a member of Ghana Bar Association since 2002.
