Head coach of Kenya’s U-20 female football team, Caroline Ajowi, believes her side are mentally strong and well motivated to get good results against Ghana in the second round African qualifiers to the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in France.
The Black Princesses of Ghana annihilated their Algerian counterparts 10-0 on aggregate whilst Kenya managed to edge Ethiopia 7-1 i the preliminary round of qualifiers.
Ajowi remained optimistic about getting a good results in Accra despite Ghana being one of the heavyweights in Women’s football on the continent.
She said: “Ghana are one of the best sides in the continent and it is a tough draw. However, our players are motivated and I think if we can get a good result away from home, we can come up and finish the job in Nairobi,” said Ajowi.
The highly anticipated encounter is slated for November 4, 2017 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
