The handball court of the University of Ghana, Legon will be filled with packed action as both male and female handball clubs of Legon, the Legonites clash with Renijoe tomorrow in the ongoing Greater Accra Handball league.
Legonites, who are new entrants but are a fierce playing team, are currently lying on the eighth and sixth position on the league table in the male and female category respectively and are poised to move up after tomorrow’s encounter with Renijoe.
Though most teams have outstanding matches, this weekend’s encounter is expected to be characterized with explosive performances from both sides as both teams have vowed to have the upper hand over the other at the end of the day.
The male team of Renijoe is currently pegged at the bottom of the table with no points while the female team has eight and six points respectively on the ladder are equally determined to move up and as well improve their performance.
Meanwhile, at the Azumah Nelson Complex in Kaneshie, the Police Service will host HOSTAC club in another dicey encounter today.
Defending champions in the men’s category, the Policemen are aiming for the top where Fire Service are currently occupying and are aspiring to unseat them after beating HOSTAC hopefully in today’s match.
HOSTAC will prove to be a difficult hurdle for Policemen to jump over as they are determined to stop them and are heading towards Kaneshie as wounded lions with no point after six matches.
Having just two weeks to end of the first round, HOSTAC are determined to end the round with at least a point and are prepared to match the Police Service in today’s match.
In other fixtures, LEKMA club will welcome Cantonment Youth at Military Academy Training School (MATS) in Teshie while Tema Youth will battle it out with Prisons Service at Tema.
