‘Djoliba will be a much tougher opponent’

Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo expects a much difficult challenge when his side faces Malian club Djoliba in the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Phobians are in the third round of qualifiers in Africa’s second tier club competition following their impressive 3-2 win away to Olympique de Ngor on Saturday.

The epic away win seems to have revived the passion of the Phobian fold reminiscent of their glorious continental campaign in the year 2000.

But coach Herbert Addo is bracing himself for a much tougher contest against their next opponent.

“They will expectedly be a more physical and technically gifted side so we need to prepare well for them,” he said.

Hearts travel away to take on Djoliba in the first leg tie in the weekend of 17–19 April in Bamako before returning for the reverse encounter in Accra on May 3.
