Handball league bounces back this weekend

Accra, April 5, GNA - The National Handball league would this week end bounce back after a break of almost three years.

The league, which was put on hold after the 2001 season would see Kpando Young Hands will play host to Ghana Armed Forces as the top liner in both the male and female divisions on Saturday, April 9, at Prisons Complex handball courts.

On Thursday, the Police Service would lock horns with Young and Talented Future Stars at the Kaneshie Sports Complex. HOSTAC Handball Club would be the guests of Fire Service at the Fire Services Academy on Friday whilst Prisons Service would welcome Old Hands at the Prison's Complex.

Mr Saka Acquaye, Secretary of the Ghana Handball Association in a release copied to the GNA Sports said winners of the fifteen teams in addition to winning trophies and cash prizes would qualify for the 28th African Clubs championship slated for Benin in December this year 05 April 05
