Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah will meet Bayer Leverkusen forward Karim Bellarabi in Germany to hold talks with the player for a possible nationality switch.
The coach, according to Goal.com Ghana sources, is bent on convincing the player to join the Black Stars in next year’s African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Goal.com Ghana can exclusively reveal that coach Appiah would meet the Bundesliga star early next month in Germany during his monitoring tour and hold talks with him to play for Ghana ahead of Morocco and Germany at senior level.
Bellarabi, 21, who has been in fantastic form for the German giants was born in the city of Berlin to a Ghanaian father and a Moroccan mother and is currently playing for the German Under-21 side.
Morocco who have also qualified for the Nations Cup are also scheduled to hold talks with the player through his mother in order to lure him to represent the Atlas Lions at the senior level.
