Kwame Kizito has revealed Hacken BK forward Nasiru Mohammed played a part in him signing for the club in the January transfer window.

The Black and Gold lads were in hot pursuit of the lanky striker throughout the month before finally landing him on a three-year deal.

Kizito has been signed to compete with Hacken attacker Alexander Jeremejeff who is the top striker for the club.

However, the 22-year-old disclosed he reached out to his compatriot before penning the deal as he wanted to know much about the club.

“It’s cold here, but I’m very happy to finally be in place. I have watched some on Youtube, and I come to a team that plays a nice football. I have also had contact with Nasiru Mohammed, who just talked a lot about the club,” he revealed.

In November 2017, Kizito pleaded with officials of Hearts of Oak to allow him join BK Häcken after the club offered a three-year deal following a splendid performance in the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League season and at the WAFU ZONE B Cup of Nations held at Cape Coast.

According to reports, Hacken offered Hearts $25,000 as Training and Development Fee since the player falls below age 23 but the Phobians were not willing to accept the offer, according to reports.

However, officials of BK Hacken were swift to sign the star forward soon after his relationship with Al Ittihad elapsed in October 2018.
